What is boiler cover and is it worth it?

Boiler cover is a type of plan that helps protect your boiler from unexpected breakdowns and repairs.

Am I eligible for boiler cover?
You'll need to be at least 18 years old and resident in the UK, Isle of Man or the Channel Islands.
The heating equipment should be owned by you, be in good working order and under 15 years of age when this plan starts.
Your boiler should also be out of guarantee and cannot be of industrial grade or be used for business purposes.

How much is boiler cover?
- The BoilerCare Gold plan is only £5.20 a month(1) for the first 3 months, then £10.40 a month.
- The BoilerCare Platinum plan is £7.00 a month(2) for the first 3 months, then £14.00 a month.
- The BoilerCare Total plan is £9.00 a month(3) for the first 3 months, then £18.00 a month.
Can I get boiler cover for an old boiler?
It depends how old your boiler is. We can offer boiler cover for boilers that are less than 15 years old. If your boiler is older than 15 years, you won't be eligible for boiler cover.

Our basic insurance provides breakdown cover for your boiler, controls and central heating but doesn't include an annual service.
From £3.10 per month for the first 3 months.(4) Thereafter £6.20 a month for the remaining 9 months.
